You can make a difference.
Dear Family and Friends of Living Free Recovery Services,
For many years, Living Free Recovery Services has quietly persevered through financial challenges, choosing to focus on the life-changing ministry happening within our walls rather than on our own needs. Until now, we have never asked our community for financial support. However, due to the realities we face today, we believe it is necessary to share our situation.
Like many nonprofit treatment programs, our costs have risen sharply. Licensing fees have increased by 433%, mandated liability insurance by 133%, and nearly every other operational expense has followed the same trend. At the same time, our reimbursement rates—largely set by the State for the clients we serve—have remained unchanged. We are unable to increase fees to offset these increases.
Many clients with commercial insurance face deductibles they cannot afford, resulting in unrecoverable revenue. Despite reducing staffing hours and scaling back services, these efforts have not been enough to close the gap. Still, our staff—who are paid well below industry standards—continue to serve faithfully with compassion and a strong sense of calling.
We are deeply grateful for Living Word Christian Center, whose support of approximately $100,000 annually through facility use, utilities, and essential services has allowed us to continue far longer than our financial situation would have otherwise permitted.
Despite every effort, Living Free is now at risk of closure. To remain open, we must eliminate $175,000 in accumulated deficits and secure $6,000 in monthly donor commitments. These funds would stabilize the ministry and allow us to continue providing Christ-centered, evidence-based recovery services.
We understand that everyone’s capacity to give is different. However, we believe that if those impacted by this ministry prayerfully consider a one-time gift, a monthly commitment, or both, we can meet this need together.
As we walk through this season, we continue to trust God as our provider and remain confident that the story of Living Free is not finished. Thank you for your prayers, partnership, and consideration.
Please prayerfully consider supporting Living Free during this critical time. All commitments must be submitted by February 6, 2026. Once pledges are received, a final decision will be made regarding the facility’s future. All who submit pledge cards will be contacted with next steps. If you have any questions, please contact us at 763-315-7170 or [email protected].
With gratitude and hope,
Living Free Recovery Services
